Our shop is located 1/2 mile off RT 1 at 150 Main Street in the small village of Columbia Falls, downeast Washington County, Maine. The name is derived from its parent town of Columbia, and its location on the Pleasant River, which is tidal up to the base of the falls. It was the site of many lumber and gristmills as well as several shipyards.
The village has many historic structures of merit including the Ruggles House historic house museum, which is open for tours in the summer. A visitor can take a walking tour and see several buildings on the national Historic Register. Columbia Falls is also home to the Wild Salmon Resource Center, Crandon House Gallery, which features the work of local artists, and several other shops.
We make a relaxing and interesting stop between the Bar Harbor/Ellsworth area and Campobello Island. Please stop by and enjoy yourself, and we'll take you out back to our studio where you can watch us create our distinctive pottery!
