Sculptor Dana A. McEacharn is a native of Machias, Maine. He specializes in three dimensional and bas relief works which portray the motifs and gestures peculiar to work, play and the natural world of Washington County Maine. Every step from the original modeling, mold work, casting and finishing is completed by Dana at his studio in Columbia Falls Maine.

Traditional Harvest Series
Limited editions of 150 each subject.
Dana's solid cast resin portraits honor the men and women who labored in the traditional resource-based occupations of Downeast, Maine. Using area residents as models, Dana creates the original sculpture in clay. A mold is made, then filled with durable high-density gypsum polymer resin. After drying and detailing, the pieces are finished to resemble molten bronze castings. Each one varies in tone and patina. Some adjustment can be made on request. Many of Dana's pieces are purchased by families whose parents and grandparents survived doing very hard work in difficult conditions. Each is signed and numbered by the artist and displays easily on your desk or bookcase.
