Enjoy my two bedroom guest suite above the pottery shop and studio in the historic village (pop. 580) of Columbia Falls, Maine. Located in downeast Washington County, staying here is a step back in time to a small cohesive community where the owner of the store lived upstairs and the c. 1870 mercantile was the center of commerce. Built for John H. Crandon, the building has served as a grainery, dry goods, grocery, hardware store, and post office. The suite, c. 1905, has tin ceilings, cyprus woodwork, and hardwood floors.
